ALPINE CHALET STYLE

ALPINE CHALET STYLE, BUILT WITH MILL-DIRECT TIMBER

The Alpine Chalet Style — Designed for grand living and sweeping views, the concept is built around a stunning great room with fireplace, a private master wing, and a dedicated guest wing. A loft option above the kitchen, which typically comes with heavy timber open stair system leading up to it. Exterior Log Walls, Post & Beams, Tongue & Groove, and Siding are all typically
included.

Construction Techniques

Many Alpine Chalet designs use post-and-beam or partial timber-frame structures for wide spans and vaulted ceilings. We’ll mill the beams and rafters to your specs once your engineer finalizes spans.

Interior & Exterior Finishes

Inside

There are many choices for the walls, ceiling, and floors inside your log home. The interior walls are normal framed walls, and can accept T&G, Shiplap, Siding, or Drywall. The roof can be conventional or timber framed. For conventional ceilings, you may choose T&G or drywall. For timber frame ceilings, you will have T&G on the ceiling behind the rafters.
